| Lynn has been sewing since she was old enough to sit at a sewing machine, and has been quilting since 1990. Her sense of color and design has been shaped by assorted careers and pastimes including theatrical costume and lighting design, photography, and Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging), not to mention a variety of quilting and surface design classes. After taking a one-day fabric dyeing class in 1996, she was captivated by the seemingly endless possibilities of color and pattern that dyeing presented and has been dyeing and painting fabric ever since. Her hand-dyed and painted fabric is incorporated into quilts ranging in style from not-quite-traditional to definitely-an-art quilt. |
